Who Owns Duel Casino?

Duel.com is owned and operated by Immortal Snail LLC, a company registered on the Caribbean island of Nevis, and licensed in Anjouan in the Comoros. The man behind it is Ossi "Monarch" Ketola, the Finnish founder of CSGOEmpire, who runs Duel as CEO and is the face of everything it does.

The company: Immortal Snail LLC

Every legal page on duel.com names the same operator: Immortal Snail LLC, registration number L22982, with a registered office in Charlestown, the capital of Nevis. Nevis is part of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis and is a popular place to register offshore companies, partly because it does not publish who the members of an LLC are. So the company filings alone will not show you who owns Immortal Snail.

What ties the company to Ketola is everything around it. He presents himself as Duel's founder and CEO, Duel's marketing is built around him, and X's lawsuit against Immortal Snail names him throughout (more on that below). Nobody involved disputes that Duel is his.

The license: Anjouan

Duel is licensed by the Offshore Finance Authority of Anjouan, one of the islands of the Comoros, under license ALSI-202411026-FI1. Anjouan Licensing Services Inc. handles supervision. Clicking the seal in Duel's footer opens the regulator's validator, which on November 4, 2026 showed this:

Anjouan Internet Gaming License Validation page for Immortal Snail LLC, registered website duel.com, operating status valid

The Anjouan validator for duel.com, generated November 4, 2026.

The same page lists the countries the license does not cover: Australia, the Comoros, France, the Netherlands, Spain, the United Kingdom and the USA, plus FATF-blacklisted and sanctioned countries. It also says the operator must offer an independent dispute resolution service, responsible gambling tools and certified random number generators. Anjouan is a real license, but it sits in the lighter offshore tier with Curaçao. What that means for your money is on our license and safety page.

The founder: Ossi "Monarch" Ketola

Ketola was born in 1997 in Vammala, Finland, a town now merged into Sastamala. He started CSGOEmpire, a Counter-Strike skin-betting site, at 18 with a loan of about €11,000 in 2016, and ran it for close to a decade before launching Duel in July 2025. In between he became one of the most visible high-stakes poker players on stream, winning and losing eight-figure sums on camera.

He is also a polarising figure, and some of that lands on Duel directly. Wikipedia's article on Duel records right-wing statements he made on a Finnish podcast and at a march in Helsinki in September 2026. His full track record, including the CSGORoll feud and the Coffeezilla episode, is in our Ketola profile, and what is known about his money is in our net worth breakdown.

Who owns Duel: Arena?

Duel: Arena, the boxing, MMA and kickboxing promotion that ran its first card in Orlando on August 29, 2026, is part of the same brand and is promoted by Ketola. The Florida results sheet names the promoter only as "Duel Arena". An early report linking the license to a Florida company was later withdrawn by the outlet that published it, so the legal entity behind Arena has not been confirmed. Results and background are on our Duel: Arena page.

Legal and regulatory trouble in 2026

Two cases this autumn are worth knowing about if you are deciding whether to trust the operator.

X Corp. v. Immortal Snail LLC. On September 28, 2026, X sued Duel's operator in federal court in Texas. According to Gambling News, the complaint alleges that people acting for Ketola paid X staff for information on the @monarch account, paid a contractor to reactivate suspended accounts, and offered one employee $300,000 to reinstate accounts suspended in October 2025. X also says Immortal Snail bought the @duel handle from X in March 2025. Immortal Snail had already filed an arbitration claim in April to get its accounts back, and X is asking the court to stop that arbitration. None of X's allegations have been tested in court. Ketola's earlier position was the opposite: that rivals had paid to get him banned.

Sweden's ban. On October 28, 2026, the Swedish regulator Spelinspektionen banned Immortal Snail from offering gambling to Swedish players, after finding Swedish language and currency options on the site and Swedish-language marketing. Our write-up of the Swedish ban covers what Duel argued and what it means for players there.

An offshore owner you can name is better than an anonymous one, and Duel's has a long public record. It is not a substitute for regulation. If a dispute with Duel goes badly, your route is Duel's own complaints process and then the dispute service the Anjouan license requires, not a court or regulator where you live.
