Who owns Duel: Arena?

The promotion is backed by Ossi "Monarch" Ketola, the Finnish entrepreneur who built CSGOEmpire into a nine-figure skin-betting operation from 2016 onwards and launched Duel.com in July 2025. Arena is the newest of his ventures and the first that puts him in a physical venue rather than a browser.

It is run as its own promotion, not as a marketing department of the casino — separate branding, separate regulatory footprint, separate people in the ring. What they share is a founder, a name, and an approach to attention that is recognisably the same on both sides. The main event that nearly wasn't

Duel: Arena 1 was built for three weeks around Mike Perry vs. Dillon Danis. Danis pulled out roughly two days before the event; the withdrawal was announced at Thursday's pre-fight press conference with no official reason given, and Perry was not diplomatic about it from the podium. It fits a pattern — Danis has withdrawn from high-profile bookings before, including a 2023 boxing match with KSI.

Brandon Jenkins, a former UFC and MVP MMA veteran, accepted the fight on roughly 48 hours' notice and flew in. It lasted one round: Jenkins dislocated Perry's shoulder and the bout was waved off. On a card that had spent three weeks selling manufactured surprises, the short-notice replacement stopping the headliner in the first round was the one nobody scripted.

The promotion also hired Danis's mother as a ring card girl for the night, which tells you most of what you need to know about the tone of the operation.

The fight that was announced and never happened

Two days before the card, the promotion's X account announced Ossi Ketola vs. Patrick Holden, billed as a twelve-round middleweight boxing bout, listing Ketola at 92kg and Holden at 41kg. Boxing's middleweight limit is 72.5kg; the gap between the two listed weights was larger than Holden's entire listed body weight.

It never appeared on the sanctioned card, never took place on the broadcast, and no result was ever published by the promotion or any commission. Patrick Holden has no traceable record or media presence outside that single post. Is Duel: Arena the same thing as Duel Casino?

No — and the distinction matters if you arrived here from the gambling side. Duel Casino operates under an Anjouan gaming license (ALSI-202411026-FI1) through Immortal Snail LLC, registered in Nevis. Duel: Arena is a combat-sports promotion that took a permit from the Florida State Boxing Commission for a single event in Orlando. Different entities, different regulators, different risk profiles.

Practically: nothing that happens on an Arena card changes the casino's license status, its RTP figures, or its provably fair system. If you're weighing up the platform itself, the relevant pages are the full review and license and safety — not the fight results.

Where the two do connect is temperament. Booking a phantom bout with an impossible weight differential is the same instinct that puts Mike Tyson and Lil Pump behind a blackjack table: attention first, everything else second. How to watch

Arena 1 went out free on YouTube, Kick and X — the promotion dropped any paywall in the final days before the event and streamed the whole card, prelims included, on all three at once. There's no indication that model changes for a second card, but no announcement either way.

What's next

There is still no date, no venue and no card. What changed on September 5 is that the promotion referenced Duel: Arena 2 directly for the first time, saying the characters from the unrecorded eleventh bout should return for it. That is intent rather than an announcement, but it is the first of either. Arena 1 was announced roughly three weeks in advance, so that is the lead time to expect.
