The mechanic

Crash is the simplest game in the Duel Originals lineup, which is exactly why it's one of the fastest-growing genres in crypto gambling generally. Place a bet, watch a multiplier climb from 1.00x, and cash out manually or with an auto-cashout target before the round crashes at a randomly determined point. Hold longer for a bigger multiplier; wait too long and you lose the full stake.

Why it's provably fair — and harder to fake than most

Many crash-style games on other platforms run on a simple server-side RNG, which still requires you to trust the operator. Duel's version settles against the decentralized drand beacon (League of Entropy) — a publicly verifiable randomness source that no single party, including Duel itself, can manipulate or predict in advance. That's a meaningfully stronger fairness guarantee than a standard provably-fair seed system alone.

What the drand beacon actually is

League of Entropy is a consortium (Cloudflare, Protocol Labs, several universities, and others) that jointly produces a new random value roughly every 30 seconds, published publicly and verifiable by anyone. No single member can predict or alter a value alone — it takes a threshold of participants cooperating, which defeats the entire point of manipulation. When Duel ties a Crash round's outcome to a specific drand round, that outcome existed in the public record before your bet was even placed. You're not trusting Duel's server not to cheat; you're trusting math and a distributed network that has no reason to coordinate against you specifically.

How the multiplier curve is built

Crash games typically use an exponential growth curve, weighted so that lower multipliers occur far more often than high ones — a 1.5x-2x crash point is common, a 50x+ round is rare by design. This isn't a flaw; it's how the math stays balanced at zero house edge: frequent small losses on missed cash-outs are offset by the occasional large multiplier for whoever was still holding. Nobody — including us — can tell you Duel's exact published distribution curve, since that level of detail isn't typically disclosed by any crash-game operator. Can the casino see my cash-out and crash the round early?
No — that's exactly what the drand beacon settlement prevents. The crash point is tied to a public randomness value that exists independently of your bet, so there's no mechanism for Duel to react to an individual player's cash-out in real time.
